Cupping is a form of therapeutic bodywork used to facilitate deep tissue release and aid in bringing about numerous healthful benefits to the body. Silicone and glass cups create negative pressure (suction) which rapidly facilitates soft tissue release, loosens & lifts connective tissue and disperses blood & lymph stagnation. Circulation is increased to the skin & muscles in ways not possible using compression techniques. Negative pressure, rather than tissue compression, is a superior treatment for complex conditions such as: repetitive strains, arthritis, toxicity (e.g. post-op anesthesia), auto-immune issues (RA, AS, fibromyalgia) and inflammatory digestive problems.
