Dr. Ranes is a 1997 graduate of Michigan State University (B.S. Psychology), 2000 graduate of Lansing Community College's Massage Therapy program and a 2006 graduate of the Palmer College of Chiropractic (Doctor of Chiropractic).

Dr. Ranes utilizes Sacro-Occipital Technique (S.O.T.) for analysis and treatment of most chiropractic cases.  This technique is one of chiropractic's oldest and most scientifically-researched whole body systems of analysis and care.  S.O.T. is safe, gentle and effective for all ages and most conditions, including severe spinal cord and brain injury cases under concurrent medical care.  Cranial balancing, visceral manipulation, neurofeedback, extremity adjustment, pediatric care, trigger point massage, reflexology, exercise and whole foods nutrition are important components of Sacro-Occipital chiropractic care.

Simone Ranes is proud to be a "YOOPER", hailing from Ontonagon in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.  She is married to a Williamston native, Patrick Ranes (retired Sterling Heights Fire Captain) and lives in Williamston with their 3 children.  She is a member of the Michigan Association of Chiropractors, Williamston Sunrise Rotary, Williamston Chamber of Commerce and the Williamston Garden Club.

In 1991, Dr. Ranes participated as a Rotary Exchange Student Ambassador to Denmark.  This early experience inspired a lifelong commitment to expanding global awareness and education, and marked the beginning of a 30+ year career in natural healthcare.

Certified Clinical Somatic Educator

Phil Howard received his training in Clinical Somatic Education from Essential Somatics and graduated in 2019. This work is in the tradition of Thomas Hanna, who defined “somatic” as experiencing sensations and movement from a first-person perspective, or from within. It focuses on gently contracting tight muscles within a comfortable range of movement, followed by slowly releasing them. Somatic movement retrains our brain and nervous system to have more awareness and voluntary control of muscle patterns, and to reduce unnecessary tension. Phil enjoys teaching people how to reduce pain, improve posture and increase performance.
